In order to gain a full and complete understanding of the role of the Governor, it is necessary to first set the scene. Thus, before embarking on a thorough analysis of the Vice-Regal office, the Governmental and Constitutional framework of Western Australia needs to be established. Doing so will put the role of the Governor into its political context, as well as ultimately making several key political terms considerably clearer.
